What to look for when shopping

RV-specific dimensions matter — a queen RV mattress is shorter (60" x 75") than a residential queen (60" x 80"). Always confirm measurements before buying toppers or protectors. For mobility products, check weight capacity ratings and look for items with non-slip rubber feet on hard RV flooring.

Climate products are especially important: the standard RV A/C unit that comes factory-installed is often undersized for older rigs. A 15,000 BTU unit is the minimum for full-time hot-weather comfort; some travelers run dual units on long RVs.
